This may seem like a 'duh' to some people, but I'm amazed. I just found out that I can seriously lower the file size of my gifs by lowering the quality to 40%, AND I can't tell the difference!  Not a lot anyway. So my pages will load a lot faster now and still look awesome!  This is the best thing that a background-aholic like myself could imagine.
